Wise attention keeps us on track, or puts us back on track.
Do we have wise attention when interacting with another person (and continue to have a friendly attitude), or do we get upset?
Metta for a dear person may cause unexpected reactivity such as annoyance, attachment, worry, or irritation. With mindfulness, we can notice when such reactions appear.
